Trippina is a large granite structure designed to collect ambient sound and focus it to three desired points, equal to the average human head height. The 3 reflective dishes on each face are at 120 degrees to one another, thereby enabling sound waves to be collected from 360 degrees around the structure. The design mixes technology from pre radar listening ears and contemporary telecommunication towers. The structure is made from 3 identical tapering segments that tessellate together, each weighing in excess of 8 tons.
